Random Thursday

*Congratulations to Ryan Leaf on getting released from prison in Montana.

*Congratulations also, to my pal Alec in Hermosa on the nice contract extension.  First round is on you at Ercole's.

*We're going with a real tree this Christmas at the Home Office.  Both dogs have been sniffing around it.  This should get interesting.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Shawn from Stephen.  He and his brother Greg used to stay at my house when it would blizzard during school.  We would turn out the lights in the basement and commence a rudimentary Fight Club.  A good time was had by all.

*If Torii Hunter punches Joe Mauer during Spring Training I will consider his signing a success.

*I wasn't shocked at all by the Minnesota Timberwolves losing to the previously winless Philadelphia 76'ers.  I found it more surprising people paid to go and watch the game.

*Remember Cordarrelle Patterson?  I don't.

*Do you ever put pepper spray on your burrito?

*I'm going to skip Horrible Bosses 2.  And Dumb and Dumber To.

Random Thursday on a Tuesday

*I've never been a fan of cranberries.

*Does celery really deserve a place in stuffing?  I think not.

*I'm old enough to remember when CNN wasn't a complete joke.

*I'm happy gas prices have dropped.  I'm curious as to why it is still cheaper in Crookston, Fargo, Hillsboro, Bemidji, Minneapolis, Erskine and Fosston than it is in Grand Forks.

*Are you ever concerned that Family Feud might run out of surveys?  And who takes these surveys?  "100 people were surveyed and the top six answers are on the board...Name a state with a lot of sunshine."

*Reggie Tales shout out to Claire in North Carolina.

*"Birdman" is a very good movie.  And very different.  And Michael Keaton is sensational.  He might be one of our most underrated actors ever.

*Two words:  Pecan pie.  That is all.

Thursday, November 6, 2014

Random Thursday

*Wendy's is underrated.

*Bryan Cranston as Dr. Tim Whatley on Seinfeld is one of the great characters in television history.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Blonde Daughter, celebrating her 16th Birthday today!

*I highly recommend "Fury."  And to a lesser degree, "The Equalizer" with Denzel Washington isn't the worst movie I've ever seen.

*So Paul Molitor is the new manager of the Minnesota Twins.  That's nice.  Now, if they don't spend any money this season upgrading their pitching staff and suffer another 90 loss season, what difference does it make?

*I haven't taken my snowblower out of storage yet.  Today might be the day.  Or not.

*It might be time to put Summer Sidekick on the side of a milk carton.  I haven't seen that clown since the Sacred Heart Golf Tournament where he led us to a 17th place finish.

*It seems strange to me that the Minnesota Vikings are satisfied with a terrible punter.

Concert Bucket List

The Five Concerts I'd Most Like To See:

5.  Van Halen (Original Lineup)

4.  Foo Fighters

3.  U2

2.  Bruce Springsteen

1.  Red Hot Chili Peppers

Thursday, October 23, 2014

Random Thursday

*I'm back from hiatus.

*I wanted to spend more time with my family.

*My new biggest pet peeve:  People who attempt to enter an elevator before everyone has left it.  I need to think of something to say to those people.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Alec in Hermosa.

*While Fruit Loops and Frosted Flakes grab all the headlines, Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch has quietly gone about it's business as one of the most underrated cereals in the game today.  Time to give the Cap'n his due.  He runs a nice ship.

*Happy birthday to Dwight Yoakam.

*Yesterday, I met a 103 year old woman who bowls in Grafton.  Her score was 82.  She turns 104 in two weeks.

*If you ever appear on The Shark Tank, think twice about going out in the hallway to discuss a pending offer, because when you return the deal may be off the table.

*Tomorrow is a special day at The Tales.  I will release my Top Five Concert Bucket List.

*Bonus shout out to D.C. Guy and Mrs. D.C. Guy on the birth of their son, Charles.

Random Thursday on a Tuesday

*Life is too short to use an electric shaver that doesn't work well.

*You could make an all-star team of ex-Minnesota Twins appearing in this year's playoffs.

*Cordarrelle Patterson is the best player on the Minnesota Vikings yet they refuse to get him the ball.

*I told you at the beginning of the baseball season the Twins would be awful.  And they were.  And I don't have any faith they will make the necessary additions to avoid yet another 90 loss season next year.  Pretty soon, the fancy new baseball stadium will sit empty.

*Is it possible that Ray Lewis is on the payroll of the Baltimore Ravens at the exact same time he's on  the ESPN payroll discussing the Ray Rice situation?  That would be disturbing.

*Congrats to Muffy for being named one of the Grooviest Dogs in Grand Forks.

*Thank you to our very nice guests from the south.  Please travel safely back to sunny Florida, although I don't think you can top our weather.

*Happy 65th to The Boss.

*It's hard to believe that the NHL is back on the ice.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Rain Man and Mrs. Rain Man on their move to the big city.  Grand Forks' loss is Bloomington's gain.  On an unrelated note, beer sales at Judy's just dropped 15%.

Random Thursday on a Saturday

*We're back!

*Thank you for all the well wishes during my well deserved time off.

*I think ex-Minnesota Twin Josh Willingham looks  a lot like actor Chris Pratt.

*I also think if Josh Willingham had hit a few more RBI doubles for the Twins he'd still be a Twin.

*I used to have the nicest yard on the block.  Now it looks like your average yard in Mogadishu.

*I'm concerned about the slow down of the construction at the Sweeto Burrito on Columbia in Grand Forks.

*But that concern is offset with the news of Spicy Pie coming to GF and currently scouting locations.  You can bet on either downtown or on/near the UND campus.

*It's strange watching the Vikings play at the Gopher's stadium.  I equate it to the place where Brett Favre was drilled.

*The Stephen guys are talking about playing some golf in an exotic location.  Stay tuned.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Bill in Fort Collins.

Thursday, July 31, 2014

Random Thursday

*I hope the Twins don't do something stupid today like trade Kurt Suzuki.

*Well...I watched the first two seasons of House of Cards on Netflix.  Officially hooked.  And I did it in less than a week.

*Now that he's won two Stanley Cups, I wonder if Hockey Guy is finally deserving of a bobble head at the Ralph?

*Swung the wrenches in Warren on Friday.  Not good.  Good company though.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Heidi in Milbank.

*Bonus shout out to the Nelson Twins.

*Happy Birthday today to Summer Sidekick.  He is truly putting together one of the most prolific summers ever.

*Vin Scully...thank you.

*Somebody asked me what my favorite item is at Zorbaz.  The answer is:  Pepperoni and Peanut Butter Pizza.  I'm serious.

*I'm not sure how.  I'm not sure when.  And I'm not sure why, but the Minnesota Timberwolves will screw up the Kevin Love trade.  Guaranteed.

Thursday, July 24, 2014

Random Thursday

*The low in Phoenix today is 91.

*I think Joan Rivers is funnier now than she's ever been.

*I recently made a trip to the Twin Cities with Hoosier Girl.  During my stay I was approached by two panhandlers.  One asked me for $22 and the other asked me for $6.

*Finally got my Zorbaz fix.  Now I want more.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Mr. and Mrs. Summer Sidekick on the birth of Little Summer Sidekick.

*The NFL's two game suspension of Ray Rice for beating his girlfriend is embarrassing.

*Time for me to dig the wrenches out of storage and start swinging them.

Wednesday, July 9, 2014

Random Thursday on a Wednesday

*All airplanes should have free Wi-Fi and satellite television.

*The notion that Joe Mauer was a possible All-Star before his latest injury is laughable.  The Twin Cities media who floated the idea know no boundaries in their shameless, misguided adoration.

*I saw Summer Sidekick in person on the Fourth of July.  He seems to be doing well.  It was nice to catch up with him.  He says he and Mrs. SSK are expecting a child.  Good thing I bumped into him.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Tommy in Michigan and Roger in Grand Forks.

*I think a Zorbaz in Grand Forks would do quite nicely.

*The Lynx are playing some good ball.  I think.

*Deadliest Catch is still one of the best shows on television.

*Gutty effort by Brazil.

*Two of the umpires in the All-Star Game are from Minnesota and one is from North Dakota.

Thursday, June 26, 2014

Random Thursday

*I have never had a Monte Cristo sandwich.

*Congrats to Hockey Guy on the new four year deal.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Kevin and Autumn in D.C.

*Pizza can be safely made on the grill.

*Run, don't walk, to "Chef."  Great movie.

*Reggie Tales bonus shout out to Hannah in Grand Forks.

*It's been a spell since I've had a nice, refreshing Arnold Palmer.

*I haven't watched any World Cup action.  I'm still suffering from hockey withdrawals.

Thursday, June 12, 2014

Random Thursday

*Hockey is a funny game.  Not "ha ha" funny, rather, "strange" funny.  The Kings played one of their best games of the playoffs and still ended up on the short end.

*I've watched a lot of hockey this year.  And I'm guessing I've seen the TJ Oshie commercial about 350 times.

*If the Twins got any kind of contribution from Joe Mauer they would be in first place.

*I've been thinking a lot about Zorbaz lately.

*Reggie Tales shout out to The Good Doctor.

*Speaking of commercials, I'm strangely entertained by the Direct TV spots with the wife and her wires.  And now her father has made an appearance.

Thursday, June 5, 2014

Random Thursday

*I felt a little bad for Dan Girardi of the New York Rangers last night.  His turnover led to the game winner for the Los Angeles Kings.  But it must be noted that every other Ranger had flown the zone and left him in a bad spot.

*I asked Summer Sidekick this morning whether he ever had any turnovers that ended up in the back of the net.  "Once.  Once."  Even though I haven't seen SSK in a calendar year, I always love his honesty humor.

*The Kings have been my favorite hockey team for about four years now, but the bandwagon is getting quite full now.

*I got a sneak peak inside the new Scheels in Grand Forks recently.  It is quite impressive.  Actually incredible.

*R.I.P. Don Zimmer.  I always thought he'd be a fun guy to have a beer with.

*I don't know very much about horse racing but I'd like to see California Chrome win the Triple Crown.  He seems like a nice horse.  I bet he'd be fun to have a beer with.

*I made a trip to Hoosier Girl's homeland last week.  I met a lot of interesting people.   If you're ever in Bloomington, Indiana, check out a pizza joint named Mamma Bear's.

*Reggie Tales shout out to James and Lauren in Bargersville.

*How many dogs is too many?

Thursday, May 15, 2014

Random Thursday

*Kings and Ducks in what should be an epic Game 7 on Friday night.  Last night's game was not for the faint of heart.  Go Kings.

*David Ortiz wasn't good enough to play for the Minnesota Twins.  Or so the Twins thought.  He continues to show them it was the biggest mistake in the franchise's history.

*I saw snowflakes yesterday in Grand Forks.

*I wonder when the Sweeto Burrito on Columbia Road is going to open.

*Good luck to Blonde Daughter as she begins play in the East Region Tennis Tournament tomorrow in Grand Forks.

*Congratulations to Red Sox Daughter on completing her first year of college with flying colors.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Tony in Warren.

*Happy belated birthday to Hockey Guy.

*It's hard to fathom, but Matt Cooke is a pretty good hockey player when he sticks to playing hockey.

*The Indiana Pacers are a tough team to figure out.

*If anyone sees Summer Sidekick, please let him know he needs to be accessible as soon as summer starts.

Thursday, May 1, 2014

Random Thursday

*There are few things that will cost you more sleep than the Stanley Cup Playoffs.  But I think it's a great trade-off.

*The Minnesota Wild played an instant classic last night in Denver and won.  Their reward?  The defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks.

*If you're bored and want some interesting reading material, check out the Denver Post online.  They are absolutely destroying their Russian goalie.

*Congratulations to the Los Angeles Kings.  They became only the fourth team in NHL history to lose the first three games of a series and to go on and win a game seven.

*Hoosier Girl, Blonde Daughter and I had some outstanding Chinese food the other night.  Upon completion of the meal, I cracked open my fortune cookie only to find it contained no fortune.  Is that a bad thing?

*Reggie Tales shout out to Scott in Bemidji.

*Speaking of Bemidji, I've been watching "Fargo" on FX on Tuesday nights. I must admit it's far better than I thought it would be.

*It's May 1st.  I'm going to put my snow blower away.

Thursday, April 24, 2014

Random Thursday

*If I understand the pine tar controversy correctly, it's technically illegal but everybody is doing it.  It's only an issue if you flaunt the use of it.  Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.  It's either cheating or it isn't.

*Jimmy From Accounting had this statistical tidbit waiting for me via text at 6:00 a.m. today:  Minnesota Twin Chris Colabello has half as many RBIs in one month as Joe Mauer had all of last season.  Now that another April 15th has come and gone, we can expect a great many bits of wisdom from JFA.

*Reggie Tales shout out to TPetter in Warroad.  He will forget more Twins baseball than most of you will ever know.

*Can I put away my snowblower for the year?  Or should I wait until May June 1st?

*Is it just me, or did the price of eggs sky rocket?

*The greatest playoffs in the world, the Stanley Cup Playoffs, continue tonight.  I will be interested in the Wild and Kings games.

*It's another rainy day in Grand Forks.  It makes me wonder where Rain Man is.  He's been MIA for about two months.  I hope nothing untoward has happened to him.

*As I'm writing this Random Thursday, I just received a phone call from the dog groomer telling me CJ is not cooperating.  The tone in the groomer's voice was somewhere between dejection and exasperation. Welcome to my world, dog grooming lady.

Thursday, April 17, 2014

Random Thursday

*The Mankato State football team might want to re-think what they are doing.  As players, you do not get to decide who the coach is.  If you don't want to honor your commitment, leave.  Turn in your equipment and quit the team.  Having said that, someone, maybe several people within in the Mankato State administration need to lose their job over this mess.

*It's mind boggling to me to try and comprehend the amount of time spent on debating which players might be drafted by which NFL teams.  In the end, it's all speculation and not one word of it matters.

*The Major League Baseball replay system is a joke.  And I knew it would be.  MLB can screw up the easiest things.  I could get 12 of my friends from Stephen and they would do a better job of watching replays and making decisions.  And if you know my friends from Stephen you realize this is not a compliment.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Debbie Deb at Black Diamond.  Here's wishing you a very Happy Birthday!

*The Twins are one game below .500 but with their starting pitchers unable to complete six innings they will soon be ten games below.

*I would walk across four feet of broken glass to get to a Dunkin' Donuts.

Thursday, April 3, 2014

Random Thursday

*I might have underestimated how awful the Minnesota Twins are.  I mistakenly watched the final couple innings of their loss at Chicago yesterday.  It was embarassing.

*Joe Mauer is 0-8 to start the season and has not hit a ball out of the infield.

*The Houston Astros presented Derek Jeter with some retirement gifts last night.  Cowboy boots, golf clubs, and a cowboy hat.  I suspect none of the three gifts will ever be used.  I wonder what the Twins will get him?  I would think the Minnesota pitching staff should be gift enough.

*Snow on April 3rd in Grand Forks?  Why not?  I'm not shovelling or blowing snow again.  It will have to melt because I'm not touching it.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Mike Delohery who celebrated a birthday yesterday.  Mike owned and operated the first smoke free bar in North Dakota, Dagwoods.  Still one of the best establishments ever.

*I'm still wondering why Milwaukee Brewers fans gave Ryan Braun a standing ovation on opening day.  I hope he enjoyed it.  I think it's going to be a different story on the road.

Thursday, March 27, 2014

Random Thursday

*I watched the Johnny Manziel Pro Day workout today on ESPN.  There were about 500 people there including former President George Bush Sr. and his wife.  It was a surreal scene.  And apparently Manziel requested rap music be played.  I'm not a football scout, but I think the Vikings should take him if he's available.  He seems like he's Russel Wilson with better speed.

*Camden Yards, the home of the Baltimore Orioles, will serve a hot dog this year with a fried egg, bacon and cheese on it.

*I've probably watched more Spring Training baseball than a normal person should, but I can say without an uncertainty the Minnesota Twins are in a lot of trouble.  They will struggle mightily to score runs and they will have several holes defensively.

*Hobby Lobby has been in the news a lot lately.  All I know is that the Grand Forks Hobby Lobby has the nicest men's bathroom in town.  It is large and luxurious and incredibly clean.  Now that I think about it, I wonder why they built such a big bathroom.

*Now that Jared Allen is in Chicago, I'm sure he will record his first meaningful sack in three years.  And you can bet the farm it will come against the Vikings.  Which begs the question, why couldn't he do it when Minnesota needed pressure on a quarterback.

*I'm in sixth place out of 60 people in Jimmy From Accounting's basketball pool.  If Louisville wins it all I believe I will be the winner.  JFA runs a pretty good pool.  It's basically what he lives for.  And to think it's his busy time of the year.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Bro #4 celebrating a milestone birthday today!

Thursday, March 13, 2014

Random Thursday

*Congratulations to UND good guy, Corban Knight, on his first NHL goal last night.  He smiles more than Buddy the Elf.

*Congratulations also to Summer Sidekick.  He and the rest of the Red Pepper hockey team claimed a city league title in Grand Forks last night.  Apparently the celebration is still going on.

*This is the time of year when I wash my car and then drive around puddles while infuriating others.

*In search of a movie last week, Hoosier Girl and Random Meegs and I went to the Lego Movie.  I laughed the entire time.  Great film.

*I recently discovered the Lemonade Cookies from the Girl Scouts.  They now might be my second favorite after Peanut Butter Patties.

*NFL free agency is kind of like a garage sale.  Teams are throwing out players they don't want anymore and other teams are buying them up like they are a treasure.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Roger and Tommy in Key West.

Friday, March 7, 2014

Random Thursday on a Friday

*It's good to be back at the Home Office of The Tales after some well deserved time off.

*I really hope the next coach of the UND Basketball team is Craig Smith.  Smith is a Stephen, Minnesota guy and has been Tim Miles right hand man for many years.  I can guarantee you whoever hires him to be a head coach will become a winner.

*It will be nice to gather with Hoosier Girl, Summer Sidekick, Mr. and Mrs. Rainman, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy From Accounting, Mr. and Mrs. CKuz, and Random Meegs for a meeting of the minds on Saturday.  This has been way overdue and hopefully many things will be hashed over.

*Remember when I said Matt Frattin would score 20 goals with the Kings this year?  He scored two, was in and out of the lineup, and now has been traded to Columbus.

*Smoke Gouda mashed potatoes.

*I'd like to see the East Grand Forks Green Wave hockey team win the state title.

*I haven't been to a movie theater in a month.  I think the last movie we saw was "Lone Survivor."

*Reggie Tales shout out to Adam in West Fargo.

*I have become less tolerant of winter.

*Bonus shout out to The Good Doctor, who celebrated another birthday this year.

Thursday, February 20, 2014

Random Thursday

*I had high hopes for the Cookie Dough Oreos.  Maybe too high.  And while they were ok, they gave off a distinctive coffee taste.  I found the Marshmallow Crispy Oreos to be much better.

*Why are Samoa Girl Scout Cookies now called Caramel Delites?  What happened?

*Since Joe Mauer will be playing first base for the Twins, we won't have to hold our breath anymore to see if he's going to be in the lineup for, gasp, two days in a row.  Or a day game after a night game.  Gone are all the convenient excuses for him to not play.

*It's been weird cheering for USA hockey players I normally cheer against.  Especially David Backes and Ryan Kesler.  And Phil Kessel.  I don't remember Backes being that good at Mankato State.

*Speaking of hockey, Hockey Guy has been writing a blog for the Los Angeles Times during the Olympics.  I was shocked too.  On several levels.

*I'd really like to see the Lamoureux Twins get the Gold Medal they so richly deserve.

*The daylight hours are getting longer in Grand Forks.  That helps the Seasonal Affective Disorder.

*Reggie Tales shout out to my dad frolicking about in Mexico.

*The rest of the world figured out what we here already knew:  TJ Oshie is good.

*What is wrong with the United States Curling program?

*Kurt Cobain would have been 47 years old today.

Thursday, February 6, 2014

Random Thursday

*A couple Super Bowl commercials I forgot about which I enjoyed: The Jerry Seinfeld one and the one with the guys from Full House.  I don't remember what they were selling but I laughed.

*Zesta Crackers beat all other crackers.

*When it comes to peanut butter, Jif is the one and only.

*It looks like Coach Bubba of UND Football did a much better job with recruiting than a lot of prognosticators thought.

*How did the people of Russia fool the world into being allowed to host the olympics?

*Reggie Tales shout out to Top Dog Grooming in Grand Forks.

*I don't think I'm going to watch my Facebook movie. I read the book.

*I think Seth Meyers is much funnier than Jimmy Fallon.

Tuesday, February 4, 2014

Random Thursday on a Tuesday

*The Super Bowl was bad and the commercials were almost as disappointing.

*My favorites were:  Doritios Time Machine, Bud Light Horse and Dog, and Radio Shack.

*I still can't figure out what the Denver Broncos did for the two weeks before the game.

*Philip Seymour Hoffman was one of my top five favorite actors.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Cousin Matt in Michigan.

*Kudos to Summer Sidekick for pointing out to me this morning that the Reggie Tales Blog is four years old this week.  A lot of you wonder why I keep him on the payroll.  Well, there's your answer.

*SNL had its best show in a long time this past Saturday.  And Imagine Dragons were really good as the musical guest.

*Reggie Tales bonus shout out to Debbie in Lecanto.

Friday, January 17, 2014

Random Thursday on a Friday

*Oprah was snubbed?  Give me a break.  She was fine in The Butler.  Nothing more.

*The real snubbing was of Tom Hanks for Captain Phillips.

*For my money, Wolf of Wall Street is a little better than American Hustle.  But it isn't really the kind of movie that the Academy clings to.  12 Years a Slave will be your winner for Best Picture.

*In Mike Zimmer the Vikings have hired the exact opposite of Leslie Frazier.  Which means he will actually display a pulse on the sidelines.  And I think that's what players want to see.  Frazier never spoke or showed emotion.  Never said a word to the refs, players or other coaches.

*The Vikings defense will be better by default.  The biggest question mark will be the draft and free agency.  They need a quarterback.

*If you missed it yesterday, Dan Patrick had a great take on the hypocrisy that is the NCAA.  What a sham that organization has proven itself to be over and over again

*Both Red Sox Daughter and Rain Man gave Lone Survivor very high ratings.

*Reggie Tales shout out to Dale in East Grand Forks.

*Duck Dynasty is back and better than ever.

*One thing that keeps me awake at night is wondering why the Vikings ever signed Josh Freeman.  Then, only allowed him to play in one game in which he was woefully unprepared.  If he was so awful, why did they sign him?  It's their job to evaluate talent.  I'm concerned they don't know what they are doing..

Thursday, January 9, 2014

Random Thursday

*I hear there is a Paul Blart, Mall Cop sequel in the making.  Haven't we been subjected to enough?

*To me, it seems like there are a lot of shows on TV about towing.

*Jack Morris deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.  The process is ridiculous.

*Maybe if we all ignored Dennis Rodman he would just go away.

*A sequel that I would like to see is MacGruber.  Will Forte says its been written and he's waiting for the movie to be made.

*West Fargo will soon be getting a Spicy Pie.  That will be the third in the FM area.  I'm still holding out hope for one in Grand Forks.

*If the University of North Dakota can get back to running the ball and play strong defense, I think they can quickly contend in the Big Sky.  And I think under Bubba they will get back to that.

*Reggie tales shout out to Riley in Rochester.

Thursday, January 2, 2014

Random Thursday

*There are 5,500 tickets remaining for the Packers playoff game with San Francisco.  I find that astonishing.

*A seven year deal for Jay Cutler with the Bears.  Wow.  He won't see the end of that contract.

*Speaking of the Bears, ex-coach Lovie Smith is now the new Tampa Bay coach.  Let's face it, there just isn't any good available coaches out there.

*Which means the Vikings are in trouble.  It was obvious they had to make a change but now what?  I really don't care for any of the names I've heard associated with this opening.

*The Winter Classic yesterday in Ann Arbor was a classic.  Great game in front of 106,000 people at Michigan Stadium.

*I've seen a handful of movies in the last couple of weeks:

*Anchorman 2:  It was slightly funnier than I thought it would be.  It might have been a little too long with the obligatory fight scene at the end dragging on.  I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5.

*Saving Mr. Banks:  Great movie.  Tom Hanks is magnificent in the role of Walt Disney.  Lots of great actors filling in some smaller spots in this film.  A very good behind the scenes look at the story behind the making of Mary Poppins.  4 out of 5.

*American Hustle:  A very unique and interesting movie.  I liked it a lot.  This is not your normal movie.  If you're waiting for explosions and car crashes, this film is not for you.  If you like tons of dialogue and witty 70s humor you're in luck.  Can't wait to see it again.  4 out of 5.

*Bonus movie:  Finally got around to seeing This is the End.  Great movie.  Very funny.  Movie stars starring as themselves as they face the Apocolypse.  James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride among others.  A below the radar movie that didn't create a lot of buzz at the box office.  Non stop laughs.  4 out of 5.

*-30 this morning in Grand Forks.  It really doesn't make sense.

*I do want to see Wolf of Wall Street but I'm not sure when I have three hours to dedicate to it.

* Reggie Tales shout out to Thomas in Rochester.

*Doug, if I need to mail something to you, do I just send it to Zorbaz in Brainerd?
